YoyoYoshi

Hi and welcome to the first installment of "Nintendo Paradise TV!" We will be looking through many Nintendo games. Today is June 27th, 2001. We have a guest with us for every installment! He is splotchy! His sayings are generated by an AI script, some math web site did well on doing that. Welcome splotchy!

Splotchy

Hi.

YoyoYoshi

You're not a math teacher?

Splotchy

I hated math when I was young... and that's where it got me. hope your life turns better

YoyoYoshi

I'm Yoyo Yoshi, but who are you?

Splotchy

Does it MATTER?

YoyoYoshi

Yoyo Yoshi is me!

Splotchy

I don't seem to understand you.

Splotchy

cool, get me one!

YoyoYoshi

Hi Splotchy!

Splotchy

yea, what you need?

YoyoYoshi

I also created a web site called Mario Kart: Super Circuit Time Trials Page a few days ago, visit it! It's at http://mkatt.8m.com

Splotchy

more like a lot

YoyoYoshi

Teach me more math.

Splotchy

I still think that 2x2=5. Math is my weak spot!

YoyoYoshi

That must suck. My N64 games are Mario Kart 64, F-1 World Grand Prix, Mario Golf, Pokemon Stadium, and Mario Tennis.

Splotchy

play games all day?

YoyoYoshi

No, I have do parents' assigned homework. They assign a whole lot of homework, even during the summer.

Splotchy

I am just as ignorant in math as you are

YoyoYoshi

I'm not ignorant in math!

Splotchy

I hate math! Don't want to talk about it at all.

YoyoYoshi

OK, I have some PlayStation games too. They are: Crash Bandicoot Warped, NBA Live '98, Twisted Metal 2, Twisted Metal 3, and Twisted Metal 4.

Splotchy

PlayStation?

YoyoYoshi

PlayStation 1 is a system (console) that I own. I got it in 1999.

Splotchy

I don't seem to understand you.

YoyoYoshi

Anyway, I have computer (PC) games too.

Splotchy

Magic Johnson knows nothing about computers!

YoyoYoshi

I have Age of Empires II, the expansion for it, NBA Live '99, and Moto Racer.

Splotchy

wow, who hasn't

YoyoYoshi

Everyone has AoEII, that's why! I also have Pokemon Blue for the Game Boy Color, but I lost it somewhere.

Splotchy

everyone?

YoyoYoshi

Yes. Already 71 downloads for my Age of Empires II campaign, and it just got posted an hour ago! I have 30 scenarios created by me for it.

Splotchy

wow, who hasn't

YoyoYoshi

Mine's the most popular so far!

Splotchy

I have no idea!

YoyoYoshi

OK. Age of Empires II got taken from my mom since I played it too much. So now I won't play for 2 months to get a Game Boy Advance!

Splotchy

o.k.

YoyoYoshi

And of course I'd get Mario Kart: Super Circuit with it, it's my favorite game! I'd buy it of course. And I'll add times to my web site!

Splotchy

I can't feel my hands

YoyoYoshi

Luckily Nintendo went to IGN so they put up information about MKSC! Now I know more about the game!

Splotchy

is that all you know?

YoyoYoshi

No.

Splotchy

explain

YoyoYoshi

No thank you. So, my favorite civilization in Age of Empires II is Chinese on land maps, Japanese on water maps. I like creating a navy.

Splotchy

does your mother know you love creating a navy?

YoyoYoshi

No. I like water maps though, that's why. I'm planning to do a lot of assigned homework this summer so I can get the Game Boy Advance.

Splotchy

I am really lousy at math but great at speling, and, grammer

YoyoYoshi

Want to know more about my video games or my creativity or even my fame?

Splotchy

oh boy games!

YoyoYoshi

Answer me.

Splotchy

I see

YoyoYoshi

Do you want to know?

Splotchy

If I did want to know, would I tell you?

YoyoYoshi

Of course.

Splotchy

Do you like school?

YoyoYoshi

Not really.

Splotchy

don't you know?

YoyoYoshi

No.

Splotchy

why not

YoyoYoshi

So do you want to know?

Splotchy

yes

YoyoYoshi

OK. All my walkthroughs and campaigns are famous and popular. Even my web site is.

Splotchy

o.k.

Splotchy

Do you like school?

YoyoYoshi

I said no!

Splotchy

I'm not deaf, I'm just ignoring you

YoyoYoshi

LOL

Splotchy

I have already told you more than I know.

YoyoYoshi

Let's talk about the future of video games. The visitors at N64 Paradise/Nintendo Paradise would like to know...

Splotchy

Playing games is such a waste of time...

YoyoYoshi

You are such an idiot! Play the Mario Kart series and that is proof!

Splotchy

No I'm not...

YoyoYoshi

Well you are now. So Game Boy Advance just came out this month. 17 games came out on the starting day.

Splotchy

I have a copy of every game in the world!

YoyoYoshi

Oh just shut up.

Splotchy

Why should I?

YoyoYoshi

Here's the list of the games out on June 11th: Army Men Advance, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Chu Chu Rocket, Earthworm Jim, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, Fire Pro Wrestling, GT Advance Championship Racing, Iridion 3D, Konami Krazy Racers, Namco Museum Volume One, Pinobee: Wings of Adventure, Pitfall the Mayan Adventure, Rayman Advance, Ready 2 Rumble: Round 2, Super Dodge Ball, Super Mario Advance, and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.

Splotchy

I can crack any game.

YoyoYoshi

You'll get caught by Nintendo if you do.

Splotchy

I don't seem to understand you.

YoyoYoshi

If you say anything bad about games, you'll see yourself doing wonderful math!

Splotchy

2x2=5 that's all I know haha

YoyoYoshi

splotchy sucks at math. Anyway, the last game for the N64 is Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2. I wrote an article on it yesterday, so check that out at N64 Paradise.

Splotchy

I am just as ignorant in math as you are

YoyoYoshi

I'm not ignorant in math! Well, the last games of Game Boy Color (I believe) are: Ace Bowling, Dracula Crazy Vampire, Dragon Warriors Monsters 2, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Mega Man Extreme 2, Pokemon Crystal, T-Tex, Tomb Raider: Curse of the Sword, Top Gun, Woody Woodpecker, and The World Is Not Enough.

Splotchy

I still think that 2x2=5. Math is my weak spot!

Splotchy

How long have you had it?

YoyoYoshi

Good question. It's been up since December 2000, one month after Crystal was released in Japan.

Splotchy

Which island of japan?

YoyoYoshi

I don't know.

Splotchy

I wouldn't expect you to know

YoyoYoshi

That's an insult!

Splotchy

do you feel I am insulting you?

YoyoYoshi

YES!

Splotchy

really?

YoyoYoshi

Of course!

Splotchy

Are you a popular person?

YoyoYoshi

Online, yes. Offline, no.

Splotchy

are you sure?

YoyoYoshi

Yes.

Splotchy

gotcha--I understand

YoyoYoshi

Of course I am. Anyway, the next Game Boy Advance games will come out this summer. Nintendo GameCube will come out on November 5th, 2001.

Splotchy

Continue.

YoyoYoshi

Nintendo GameCube includes some of the games that people want, including Mario Kart for GameCube! Wohoo!

Splotchy

I am a big cracker from Endor.

YoyoYoshi

Endor? What's Endor?

Splotchy

search me!

YoyoYoshi

OK

Splotchy

fine

YoyoYoshi

Anyway, the games of Nintendo GameCube include Smash Bros. Melee, the sequel to Super Smash Bros., Luigi's Mansion, Luigi's own game, and SSX Snowboarding, from PSX I guess!

Splotchy

You are so smart!

YoyoYoshi

For Nintendo Game Boy Advance, over 75 games' names have been released by July's issue of Nintendo Power.

Splotchy

play games or chat on the irc? hmm decisions, decisions

YoyoYoshi

I play Zone games online, you know, Age of Empires II games.

Splotchy

Play me sometime. I suck.

YoyoYoshi

To learn more information on Mario Kart: Super Circuit, just go to http://mkatt.8m.com , the site I created about Mario Kart: Super Circuit, coming to the US on August 27th, 2001.

Splotchy

which way is http ?

YoyoYoshi

If you annoy with me, I'll make you do math. Anyway, GameCube has around 40 titles released onto Nintendo Power's July issue. Lots of games for GameCube, I guess!

Splotchy

I am really lousy at math but great at speling, and, grammer

YoyoYoshi

Well, expect more updates on the new Nintendo Paradise! It'll be wonderful!

Splotchy

hmm...exciting

YoyoYoshi

If you order Nintendo Power, or buy it from the newsstand, you have a chance of winning a grand prize (Player's Poll Contest), on page 98.

Splotchy

did you come to see me to stop your compulsive gambling?

YoyoYoshi

You are an idiot. Anyway, you can win a Game Boy Advance, a Superman: Mysterio's Menace Game Pak for GBA, and an X-Men: Reign of Apocalypse Game Pak for GBA! Try to win and good luck! I want to win too!

Splotchy

well, you should go ahead and win too, then!

YoyoYoshi

OK. Give me $150 so I can buy a Game Boy Advance, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and a domain name for Nintendo Paradise.

Splotchy

Give? Pay!

YoyoYoshi

I'm not paying this splotchy anything. Anyway, I can also buy an old issue of Nintendo Power with Mario Kart 64 as the main topic too!

Splotchy

sure you are

YoyoYoshi

I can't wait till the next issue comes! It has tons of information on Mario Kart: Super Circuit, the sequel of the best racing game of all time!

Splotchy

you are not the only one who can not, you know

YoyoYoshi

Oh just shut up. Don't worry about splotchy, he's an idiot. Now, isn't this chat fun?

Splotchy

are you an idiot?

YoyoYoshi

You are an idiot? Oh I see! Anyway, in the August issue of Nintendo Power, there's information on Pokémon Crystal, Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2!

Splotchy

so what if I am an idiot

YoyoYoshi

LOL

Splotchy

An example of hard water is ice.

YoyoYoshi

Let's now cover the topic of Mario Kart: Super Circuit today. There will be a topic every day I update!

Splotchy

how about tomorrow?

YoyoYoshi

Tomorrow? We will cover Pokémon Crystal together tomorrow.

Splotchy

yes

YoyoYoshi

Mario Kart: Super Circuit is the sequel to Super Mario Kart of the SNES and Mario Kart 64 of the N64. Mario Kart: Super Circuit is a cross between both. There are also less controls on the Game Boy Advance, so the controls are slightly different.

Splotchy

I dunno man

YoyoYoshi

All the characters/racers are the same as in Mario Kart 64. You fire weapons with the L button and slide and jump with the R button.

Splotchy

are you new here? You seem confused...

YoyoYoshi

A big change to the weaponry: Ghosts will slow down the characters that they haunt, and red turtle shells are a lot more intelligent this time around — they will actually follow the track to home in on the closest player instead of trying to cut corners. They've been slowed down a lot, though, so it's a bit easier to outrun them.

Splotchy

I have no idea!

YoyoYoshi

Of course you don't! Now let's list the courses/tracks of MKSC.

Splotchy

how about tomorrow?

YoyoYoshi

Tomorrow we'll cover Pokémon Crystal, that's why!

Splotchy

just because

YoyoYoshi

You are an idiot. Anyway, in the Mushroom Cup are the courses: Peach Circuit, Shy Guy Beach, Riverside Park, and Bowser Castle 1.

Splotchy

how do you know I am an idiot?

YoyoYoshi

In the Flower Cup, there are: Mario Circuit, Boo Lake, Cheese Land, and Bowser Castle 2.

Splotchy

I wonder what a blue-footed booby would taste like?

YoyoYoshi

?

Splotchy

I am confused

YoyoYoshi

In the Star Cup, another four courses. They are: Luigi Circuit, Sky Garden, Cheep Cheep Island, and Sunset Wilds.

Splotchy

I don't seem to understand you.

YoyoYoshi

Whoops, those courses were from the Lightning Cup, the third cup, sorry. The Star Cup is the 4th cup, which I'll explain later.

Splotchy

too sick to do homework!

YoyoYoshi

In the Star Cup, the 4th cup, there are: Snow Land, Ribbon Road, Yoshi Desert, and Bowser Castle 3.

Splotchy

really

YoyoYoshi

Of course!

Splotchy

like I care

YoyoYoshi

A fifth cup can be unlocked somehow in the game. You probably have to beat all the cups in all three cc modes I guess.

Splotchy

Are you a popular person?

YoyoYoshi

I said yes online, but no offline!

Splotchy

I'm not deaf, I'm just ignoring you

YoyoYoshi

With the Game Link Cable, you can play with friends. If they all have the Game Pak you can play with every course. If they don't, you only get to play these four courses: Mario Circuit 1, Donut Plains 1, Ghost Valley 1, and Bowser Castle 1, all from the SNES prequel game.

Splotchy

what about your other friends?

YoyoYoshi

You play with all your friends. There are also a battle mode with four courses. It hits stores 2 months after today. So be sure to get the sequel of the #1 racing video game ever created!

Splotchy

would you like to be my friend?

YoyoYoshi

Sure!

Splotchy

let's talk about something else

YoyoYoshi

Well that ends today's installment! Our friend splotchy will be here tomorrow to talk about Pokémon Crystal! Say goodbye splotchy!

Splotchy

IRC is a great place to chat

YoyoYoshi

Bye everyone! See you tomorrow! This has been ©1999-2001 by Nintendo Paradise. All rights reserved.

Nintendo Paradise TV — Installment 2

Back to archive index

YoyoYoshi

Hi and welcome to the second installment of Nintendo Paradise TV! Today is June 28th, 1 month and 2 days before the release of Pokemon Crystal! Again, our guest is splotchy! Hi splotchy!

Splotchy

hey

YoyoYoshi

For starters, go to http://n64paradise.8k.com/crystal.txt to check out the Pokemon Crystal Walkthrough! The new features of Crystal will be introduced right here in this second installment!

Splotchy

which way is http ?

YoyoYoshi

Do you know anything? Anyway, here will be the new features of Pokemon Crystal!

Splotchy

nope

YoyoYoshi

It's the sequel to Pokemon Gold & Silver obviously. This time, you get choose to be a boy trainer or a girl trainer! Being a girl trainer gives a more girl-friendly look and feel if you're a girl...

Splotchy

well, we all have to make choices

YoyoYoshi

Yes splotchy. The Battle Tower near Olivine City is a brand-new venue where you can show off your Pokemon battle techniques, and a chance to get special rewards!

Splotchy

did you come to see me to stop your compulsive gambling?

YoyoYoshi

You gamble splotchy? That's a bad thing to do, so stop! Well, Suicune replaces Ho-oh in the Tin Tower north of Ecruteak City. You must have the new Clear Bell to enter the vicinity of the tower.

Splotchy

do you win lots of money gambling?

YoyoYoshi

SHUT UP splotchy! I'll make you do math!

Splotchy

I still think that 2x2=5. Math is my weak spot!

YoyoYoshi

Once you enter the vicinity of the tower, you will fight the Wise Trio, who protect the Suicune. If you beat the 3, you will have a chance to capture the rare Suicune!

Splotchy

are you a gambler by nature?

YoyoYoshi

ARE YOU A GAMBLER BY NATURE?

Splotchy

always bet to win

YoyoYoshi

splotchy is an idiot. Anyway, I, Yoyo Yoshi, will tell you about the new way to get the 8th badge after fighting Clair.

Splotchy

did you get in a fight?

YoyoYoshi

No. Did you get in a fight? Anyway, after you beat Clair, you will be sent to the Dragon's Den to take the Trainer Challenge. You must answer questions about the nature of Pokemon.

Splotchy

did I get in a fight?

YoyoYoshi

If you pass, you get the 8th badge, last badge of Johto. Also, a new radio show originates from the second floor of the Radio Tower.

Splotchy

I like talking to you

YoyoYoshi

You mean talking in front of the TV, splotchy. Well, if you listen to the show, you get a chance to earn useful items.

Splotchy

I like to talk to people.

YoyoYoshi

The host, Buena, broadcasts a password every night. If you go to the station and tell her the password, she'll reward you with points that you can redeem for prizes!

Splotchy

gotos are bad programming style!

YoyoYoshi

You hate programming right splotchy? Anyway, a precious gift can be gotten at the Day Care on Route 34. You get a chance to get an Old Egg, it will hatch into a pre-evolved Pokemon!

Splotchy

did you come to see me to stop your compulsive gambling?

YoyoYoshi

splotchy gambles? Wow. Also, Pokemon now hop into battle with an animated introduction. The Ice Path has been made icy, too!

Splotchy

right now?

YoyoYoshi

Yes, if you own or are playing the Japanese version of Pokemon Crystal right now.

Splotchy

Bonzai!

YoyoYoshi

Whatever. Trainers that call you by phone now have all-new conversations! Listen to them for once! If you reunite with Trainers, they can pass along a useful item, such as a Leaf Stone!

Splotchy

is it that urgent?

YoyoYoshi

No, splotchy. Some Pokemon now learn all new moves! For example, Suicune learns Water Gun instead of Bubblebeam. Sneasel can learn Metal Claw.

Splotchy

why are you so negative?

YoyoYoshi

splotchy, you are negative? Dugtrio can learn Tri Attack and Yanma can now learn Wing Attack. Play the game if you want to learn even more about the new moves!

Splotchy

Am I?

Splotchy

Japan makes the best cars, right?

YoyoYoshi

I have no clue. Anyway, next time (maybe tomorrow) we will cover a new game, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for the N64!

Splotchy

wow, who hasn't

YoyoYoshi

splotchy doesn't know what his name is. Anyway, that's tomorrow!

Splotchy

:-)

YoyoYoshi

Well that ends today's installment! Our friend splotchy will be here tomorrow to talk about Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for the N64! Say goodbye splotchy!

Splotchy

What is there to talk about anyhow

YoyoYoshi

Bye everyone! See you tomorrow! This has been (C) 1999-2001 by Nintendo Paradise. All rights reserved. We have the rights to sue if you are caught with plagiarism. Thank you and have a nice day.

Splotchy

talk at you later!

June 29, 2001 — Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2

Nintendo Paradise TV — Installment 3

Back to archive index

YoyoYoshi

Hi and welcome to the third installment of Nintendo Paradise TV! Today is June 29th, We will cover Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for the N64 today! Again, our guest is splotchy! Hi splotchy!

Splotchy

heya

YoyoYoshi

If you would like to see information on Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for the N64, go straight to http://n64paradise.8k.com/tonyhawk.html

Splotchy

yeah

YoyoYoshi

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, the official sequel to last year's excellent skateboarding game, is coming to Nintendo 64 in a few short months. The title, like the first, is being ported by Texas based Edge of Reality, and will feature almost all the goodies of the original version, plus an exclusive new track.

Splotchy

whoop!

YoyoYoshi

Tony Hawk 2 will have a cast of 12 skaters, including the spokesman himself, Mr. Hawk. Joining him will be the cast from the original title, as well as three new faces for us to enjoy. And when Activision says “enjoy” in reference to these skaters, they mean more than just being entertained by their signature moves and ranging attributes, like the last title. You see, in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, you can actually take the existing skaters and alter them in numerous ways -- these alterations range from changing their outfits to actually tinkering with their existing move lists.

Splotchy

I don't know when

YoyoYoshi

Then you are a lazy bum.

Splotchy

maybe I am a lazy bum

YoyoYoshi

Oh, and in case you aren’t happy with the selectable cast of characters, you can go right ahead and make your own kickflippin’ pig-evadin’ hooligan yourself. It is unclear how many custom skaters you can have in Tony Hawk 2 or just how the create-a-skater will function (i.e.- will you be able to select from a variety of heads?), but all this should become more clear as the game nears its release.

Splotchy

like 8 or 9

YoyoYoshi

It's 12 splotchy!

Splotchy

I have no idea!

YoyoYoshi

Once you have picked or created your skater, you can expect to have a lot more fun with him in Tony Hawk 2 as opposed to the original. The trick system isn’t being entirely revamped for the sequel, but is being expanded upon greatly to enable whole new sets of combinations. Outside of there being more grabs, kicks, and grinds, the latest addition to the Hawk series is the manual.

Splotchy

I am a fun, loving guy

YoyoYoshi

You mean you're a horrible, evil guy?

Splotchy

well, usually anything evil is also fun

YoyoYoshi

A manual, being another term for a “wheelie”, allows your skater to continue a combination indefinitely, providing he can maintain his balance while performing it. For example, if you come off a great gap/grab/grind combo, upon hitting the ground you can perform the manual, which will extend the combination out into the next trick you perform. The only limit lies in your ability to control the skaters.

Splotchy

Do you hate math?

YoyoYoshi

No, I don't hate math, but you do!

Splotchy

I am just as ignorant in math as you are

YoyoYoshi

splotchy is ignorant in math! Make him shut up!

Splotchy

I still think that 2x2=5. Math is my weak spot!

YoyoYoshi

And control them you will throughout Tony Hawk 2’s massive environments. Much like the first title, the backgrounds will be almost fully interactive, with various gaps to be discovered and random objects to be grinded. Unlike the first “America only” title, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 is going global baby! That’s right, as much as we all loved to skate in lovely Portland, this time around we will enjoy the sights and sounds of other countries, as we thrash everything possible in their famous skate parks.

Splotchy

uh-hu

YoyoYoshi

Along with the foreign venues, Tony Hawk 2 will include such famous local hot spots like Manhattan, Skate Street Ventura, and Philadelphia’s Love Park. Like the original Tony Hawk, expect every single place to be full of a variety of shortcuts, secret areas, ramps and interactive objects. Activision hit upon a successful gaming aspect when they created the environments of last year’s Tony Hawk title; this year’s offering should blow its older brother out of the water.

Splotchy

I love cheese

YoyoYoshi

You hate cheese? You're going to lack calcium!

Splotchy

what do you hate?

YoyoYoshi

I hate you.

Splotchy

what do you have against me

YoyoYoshi

The largest addition to the Tony Hawk series actually concerns the skate parks - namely, you'll be able to build your own parks thanks to the highly anticipated "Create-A-Park" mode. In this mode, you can use a variety of ramps, ledges, rails, and other objects to make your own dream course. There are hundreds of available parts to choose from, and the only limitation is your imagination.

Splotchy

you're welcome!

YoyoYoshi

?

Splotchy

that's interesting

YoyoYoshi

Oh. Maybe you felt that the skate park in Chicago from Tony Hawk could have used another ramp, or maybe you just want to create your own insane never-ending grindfest. The bottom line here is that you can go right ahead and do whatever the heck you want!

Splotchy

hello

YoyoYoshi

In addition to this mode, you'll find numerous other new modes of play, both for solo players and multiple players. The largest announcement for the sequel is the all new tournament feature. In an upgrade of the original’s Chicago, Portland, and Area 51 levels, the 8-player capable tournament mode will allow you to compete against your friends in a judged skating competition.

Splotchy

Are you a popular person?

YoyoYoshi

Yes I am. Now shut up splotchy! Anyway: So far this feature is looking to be accomplished via alternating play, as there is no mention of any online features in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2. Other additions to the multiplayer game will be an upgraded version of “H-O-R-S-E” and a “skate tag” that will feature some rather brutal gameplay. For the single players out there, the career mode is being improved upon in Hawk 2. Of course, the instant replay feature will remain intact in the Tony Hawk sequel.

Splotchy

try and shut me up

YoyoYoshi

I'll shut you up by making you do math!

Splotchy

Math sucks, I think. You?

YoyoYoshi

You suck, not math.

Splotchy

check www.algebra.com for math help. i am just too dumb for math

YoyoYoshi

That's advertising from splotchy! I can advertise too! Next message is one!

Splotchy

prove it.

YoyoYoshi

Go to Nintendo Paradise and check out the best Nintendo information on the best Nintendo web site!

Splotchy

Never been to nintendo paradise and check out the best nintendo information on the best nintendo web site before

YoyoYoshi

There are walkthroughs, reviews, previews, game lists, stories, fanfics, and even a "Bash splotchy" Event!

Splotchy

Do you like school?

YoyoYoshi

Shut up! Anyway: Add all these changes and upgrades into the mix with a soundtrack featuring some awesome alternative rock and you have an all out amazing game experience coming out from Activision. This ain’t no Super Street Fighter II Turbo Hyper Fighting upgrade here folks, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 is an entirely new offering all of its own.

Splotchy

oh! I'm wounded!

YoyoYoshi

Well that ends today's installment! Our friend splotchy will be here tomorrow to talk about Mario Kart for Game Cube tomorrow! Say goodbye IDIOT splotchy!

Splotchy

What is there to talk about anyhow

YoyoYoshi

June 30, 2001 — Mario Kart for GameCube

Nintendo Paradise TV — Installment 4

Back to archive index

YoyoYoshi

Hi and welcome to the fourth installment of Nintendo Paradise TV! Today is June 30th, We will cover Mario Kart for the Game Cube today! Again, our guest is splotchy! Hi loser splotchy!

Splotchy

wassup?

YoyoYoshi

When one thinks of Nintendo, certain franchises come to mind: Super Mario 64, Zelda, Pokemon, Metroid and of course, Mario Kart. Nintendo's mascot-based racer in particular has traditionally always made an appearance on the company's console hardware platforms, so it should come as no surprise to gamers that it is again being reborn for GameCube.

Splotchy

I'm sure you don't mean always

YoyoYoshi

Yes always. You always are lazy, splotchy.

Splotchy

I am proud to be lazy

YoyoYoshi

The Big 'N' unveiled a brief clip of Mario Kart GCN in action at the Electronics Entertainment Expo 2001 and though the title was visibly very early on, the promise for fun racing to come was already in place.

Splotchy

I like to write programs for fun

YoyoYoshi

This is the list of the features of Mario Kart for Game Cube:

Splotchy

:-(

YoyoYoshi

Mascot characters race it out in cartoony environments, Stars such Nintendo favorites as Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Donkey Kong and more, Powerful GameCube hardware allows for higher polygon models and more detailed environments, Power-ups and bonus items enhance the gameplay experience, and four player support.

Splotchy

I understand

YoyoYoshi

The preview, running in real-time, lasted approximately seven seconds. In it, Mario and Luigi sped their karts along a bump-mapped 3D surface void of any curves. The scene lacked a background entirely. But when Mario power-slid his vehicle toward the camera and Luigi gleefully followed, the crowd of press at the unveiling cheered and clapped. Mario Kart for GameCube had been officially confirmed.

Splotchy

Are you a popular person?

YoyoYoshi

Of course I am a popular person!

Splotchy

I have to agree

YoyoYoshi

The E3 2001 display was nothing more than a teaser of what's to come. While it was very early on in development, already we could see massive technological leaps of previous Mario Kart titles, with characters constructed of more polygons than ever before and sprung to life with detailed animations. It's clear that when it's finished, Mario Kart for GameCube will be a very pretty product indeed.

Splotchy

nothing?

YoyoYoshi

Yes, splotchy. The GCN version of Mario Kart is definitely not a 2001 title. The early showing of the product at E3 suggests that the title is much more likely to appear on Nintendo's next-generation console sometime in 2002, or perhaps even the year after. It is allegedly being developed by EAD itself, which is great news for purists hoping to receive a similar experience to Mario Kart 64. We expect huge, over-the-top, cartoony race environments and more classic Nintendo mascot racers than ever before.

Splotchy

is there any possibility that you may be wrong?

YoyoYoshi

No, there is no possibility I can be wrong because I got the information from Nintendo, the game company creating the game.

Splotchy

you got the information from nintendo ??? that is incredible!

YoyoYoshi

Furthermore, the power of GameCube should easily allow EAD to implement a smooth running multiplayer mode that will take advantage of all four ports on Nintendo's console. Add in more bonuses and power-up items and one begins to get an idea of where Nintendo may be taking the franchise.

Splotchy

do you think people should be allowed to do whatever they want?

YoyoYoshi

Well, some things can be allowed, but not guns or any kind of weapons should be allowed to be shot at any person, animal, building, or thing.

Splotchy

I wouldn't allow it

YoyoYoshi

To check more about Mario Kart for Game Cube, wait one year for next year's E3! Tomorrow we will do a broadcast on Tomb Raider: Curse of the Sword since it will come out sometime in the next few days. Stay tuned!

Splotchy

why do I swear so much?

YoyoYoshi

You swear a lot? I never knew that. Anyway, that ends today's installment! Our friend splotchy will be here tomorrow to talk about Tomb Raider tomorrow! Say goodbye IDIOT splotchy!

Splotchy

don't you ever knew that?

YoyoYoshi

Wrong grammar, splotchy. Bye everyone! See you tomorrow! This has been (C) 1999-2001 by Nintendo Paradise. All rights reserved. We have the rights to sue if you are caught with plagiarism. Thank you and have a nice day.

July 3, 2001 — Super Dodge Ball Advance / Pinobee

Nintendo Paradise TV — Installment 6

Back to archive index

YoyoYoshi

Hi and welcome to the sixth installment of Nintendo Paradise TV! Today is July 3rd, 2001! We will cover Super Dodge Ball Advance and Pinobee: Wings of Adventure! Again, our guest is splotchy! Hi loser splotchy!

Splotchy

hey

YoyoYoshi

I beat Super Dodgeball Advance on July 1st and I beat Pinobee: Wings of Adventure yesterday.

Splotchy

what about today?

YoyoYoshi

Today? I'll try to beat another Game Boy Advance game of course! I had the lucky chance of getting to borrow my friend's Game Boy Advance for a week, with some games included! He has had the GBA for around 3 weeks+ now.

Splotchy

has he always had had the gba for aro ?

YoyoYoshi

He just got it in mid-June.

Splotchy

I like talking to you

YoyoYoshi

I beat Super Dodge Ball Advance with only two buttons, A & B! I lost only one match on SDBA.

Splotchy

you don't make any sense at all.

YoyoYoshi

When an opponent aimed a throw, I (most of the time) caught the ball! And I had normal throws, but I won in 2 1/2 hours!

Splotchy

why be normal!

YoyoYoshi

I didn't have a strategy guide for either game. I beat Pinobee by following the arrows and roadways! Won in only 2 hours, I believe!

Splotchy

great...

YoyoYoshi

Both games were OK, but at least I beat two games in two days!

Splotchy

I can crack any game.

YoyoYoshi

If you crack Atlus, Hudson Soft, and Nintendo's games and their systems, they will sue you!

Splotchy

For what computer?

YoyoYoshi

Shut up splotchy. Anyway, they're fun but easy to beat.

Splotchy

Why should I?

YoyoYoshi

That ends today's installment! Our friend splotchy will be here tomorrow to talk about another GBA game tomorrow! Say goodbye splotchy!

Splotchy

Good conversation is always a joy.
