Site History

Pokémon has been part of this site world since the Nintendo Freaks / Pallet Town era. Later guide work included Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire in 2002-03 and Pokémon Gold/Silver / Crystal in 2004.

Why Pokémon Matters

I became a Pokémon fan after watching my first anime episode, “Here Comes the Squirtle Squad.” From there, I replayed Pokémon Blue constantly, collected 1st Edition Pokémon cards, and gradually became fascinated not just with the games themselves, but with the systems and decision-making underneath them.

Pokémon combines adventure, collecting, team-building, battle planning, resource management, long-term memory, and personal attachment in a way very few series can match. It creates worlds people genuinely live in for years.
